Ken Scheidegger, PhD.

A graduate of UC Berkeley, he received his Masters and Doctorate from Oregon State University in Oceanography. Dr. Scheidegger is well known as a research scientist specializing in oceanography with an emphasis in coastal processes in bays and estuaries.  He has conducted research all over the world and served as a tenured Full Professor of Oceanography at Oregon State University. Dr. Scheidegger served as a consultant to the National Science Foundation for two years in Washington D.C.  Presently, Ken owns and operates a popular marina and full service boat yard on the Delta Loop.

Margit Aramburu

A third generation Californian and land use planner, the first director of the Delta Protection Commission from 1993-2005, then headquartered in Walnut Grove. She led the Commission’s preparation and adoption of the first Delta Land Use and Resource Management Plan. Margit was Director of University of the Pacific’s Natural Resources Institute (2007-2012).

Bill Wells

A lifelong boater and is retired from a 25-year career with IBM and from 15 years as a Delta area yacht broker. He is past commodore and current Delta Port Captain of the Northern California Fleet of the Classic Yacht Association. Bill is active in the fight to preserve and protect the Delta including stints advising the Bay Delta Conservation Plan and the Delta Protection Commission. He has been recognized many times for his work on behalf of Delta interests.

Bob Benedetti

A professor emeritus of Political Science at University of the Pacific, Research Associate at the Center for California Studies at CSU Sacramento, and Former Chair of California Council for the Humanities.  Bob participated in two Delta research projects: Delta Economic Sustainability Plan for Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (2012) and Delta Narratives: Saving the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (2015).  Bob has managed numerous contracts and grants linked to research projects.
